About The Role..
Join our dynamic Finance team and play a key role in delivering a smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll experience for our employees. As our Payroll Officer , you’ll support the day-to-day payroll operations, maintain employee records with precision, and provide timely responses to payroll queries across the organisation.
Working across our Milsons Point and Ryde sites, you’ll collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager and develop strong capability in Dayforce and EmpLive. You’ll assist with routine reporting, data reviews, and compliance across awards and agreements, while contributing to well-structured workflows and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate, timely payroll for all employees.
- Manage masterfile updates and enter new starters in Dayforce.
- Process payroll adjustments and assist with general payroll administration.
- Respond promptly to payroll queries and manage the payroll inbox.
- Build expertise in EmpLive and Dayforce while ensuring precise data entry.
- Maintain confidential personnel and company records.
- Prepare statements of service and other payroll documentation as requested.
- Run and analyse payroll reports, ensuring compliance with legislation and agreements.
- Interpret awards, agreements, contracts, and classification levels to ensure correct pay.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and support smoother workflows.
- Collaborate across Milsons Point and Ryde offices to keep operations running efficiently.
We seek a self-motivated and friendly individual with:
Essential Criteria
- 3-5 years of end-to-end payroll experience.
- Practical payroll experience in the care sector, including NSW Health, hospitals, or disability services.
- Skilled in interpreting awards, enterprise agreements (EBAs), and employment contracts.
- Able to take direction while working independently and proactively.
- Experience with various HR and payroll systems, including automated processes.
- Capable of managing high-volume administration while building strong internal and external relationships.
- Approaches payroll with an employee-focused perspective.
- Experience integrating manual and automated payroll systems effectively.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
- Dayforce & EmpLive experience beneficial.
- Health Industry experience highly regarded.
