As a Clinical Trial Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the success of oncology clinical trials. Your work ensures accurate data, smooth patient engagement, and compliance with research protocols.
- Prepare submissions for Human Research Ethics Committee and Governance
- Enter and maintain accurate data in study-specific databases
- Conduct basic clinical assessments (e.g., blood pressure, measurements)
- Assist with participant recruitment, treatment, and follow-up interviews
- Process blood products and manage trial supply inventory

Essential Criteria
- Qualification: Certificate IV in Pathology or Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
- Tertiary qualification in a health or science discipline and work experience.
- Proven proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as database applications.
- Advanced oral, written and interpersonal communication skills to be able to engage a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to a fast pace environment and be flexible with work hours.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge of audit and quality assurance activities and / or monitoring in the context of clinical trials.
- Well-developed organisation skills to ensure to ensure smooth patient workflows.
