Archies Footwear is a rapidly growing, global footwear business with a strong track record of execution and exceptional growth across multiple international markets.
As the business continues to scale in size, complexity, and ambition, we are looking to appoint a high-calibre Chief of Staff — a sharp, highly capable operator who will work directly with the CEO and COO to ensure decisions are executed cleanly, standards are upheld, and the business operating system runs with discipline and consistency.
This role is suited to someone who thrives close to the centre of the business, enjoys responsibility, and takes pride in making things happen .
The role
This is a senior execution role reporting directly to the COO, with no direct report lines.
The role exists to work closely with the CEO and COO to enforce and run the business operating system and business calendar .
You will take the systems and processes designed by the CEO and COO, refine them where required, and roll them out across the business.
The role exists to ensure decisions made by the CEO and COO are translated into execution and followed through to completion , without slippage or ambiguity.
This is not a strategy role and not a functional operations role (e.g. supply chain, logistics).
It is an execution, discipline, and follow-through role .
While this role does not have formal line management responsibility, it operates with delegated authority from the CEO and COO to enforce standards, cadence, and follow-through across teams.
The role includes CEO-led special projects and practical executive support (e.g. travel bookings, itineraries, coordination), recognising that effective execution requires hands-on involvement.
This role is the connective tissue between leadership vision and team execution.
Core responsibilities
Work with the CEO and COO to formalise business systems and processes.
Implement and enforce new systems, processes, and operating standards across teams.
Own and run the Archies Operating System & Business Calendar , including:
- Leadership and board meeting cadence
- Planning and review cycles
- Preparation standards
- Follow-ups and execution tracking
- Drive cross-functional follow-through on priorities set by the CEO and COO
- Run special projects on behalf of the CEO and COO from start to finish
- Attend senior leadership and board meetings, capturing actions and ensuring completion
- Support core HR processes in coordination with legal and finance (hiring, onboarding)
- Handle practical EA-type tasks (e.g. travel booking) when required

- Not a strategy-setting role
- Not a product, marketing, or supply chain role

Experience & capability
- Strong background in operations, execution, or project management
- Experience working closely with senior executives
- Able to operate independently with minimal hand-holding
- Willing to travel internationally on occasion (1–2 times per year)

What does success look like 6 months from now?
A snapshot of the first few months:
- Participated in workshops with the CEO and COO to extract strategy and direction, then worked with Heads of Department to embed these into systems and processes
- Driven execution of the Archies Business Calendar, ensuring key events are followed through
- Worked closely with the COO to expand and develop the Archies Operating System, providing structure and clarity during a period of significant global growth
- Led and closed off special projects on behalf of the CEO
- Integrated as a trusted, capable operator who the CEO and COO bring into high-level discussions and rely on to turn direction into action
- Built strong relationships with Heads of Department and the wider leadership team
- Built international itineraries and completed bookings for CEO and COO international travel
- Supported office expansion and hiring processes during rapid headcount growth
