Our Sydney sales team are recruiting for a National Partnerships Manager (National Account Manager) to join them. In this role, you will lead the commercial strategy for a key portfolio across accounts across Australia, driving sustainable revenue growth, market share, and long-term partnerships in one of our most important offshore markets.

Based within our Australian sales team, this role exists to deliver strong commercial outcomes through trusted, high performing relationships with our national trade partners. You will operate at a strategic and operational level, influencing senior stakeholders internally and externally, while representing an iconic brand known for innovation, service and performance. You will own the end-to-end performance of key national trade accounts and play a critical role in delivering profitable growth for the AU region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and sustaining long term strategic partnerships with key trade accounts and Online Travel Agency partners
  • Leading commercial negotiations that deliver preferred partner outcomes, increased revenue, and improved market share.
  • Developing and executing annual business plans that lift revenue, profitability, and agency performance.
  • Managing monthly performance reporting, forecasting, and insights to track results against targets.
  • Coordinating tactical campaigns, frontline seller incentives, and activity plans to deliver measurable ROI.
  • Actively managing cost of sale and ensuring agreements extract maximum value for Air New Zealand.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer, translating market and partner insights into effective distribution strategies.
  • Proactively managing customer issues and driving continuous improvement in partner performance.

What We’re Looking For

You are a commercially driven leader with a passion for winning through strong partnerships and disciplined execution.

Ideally you will have:

  • A university degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent senior industry experience.
  • Deep sales experience at a senior level, with a strong track record of delivering superior commercial results.
  • Airline or travel industry experience, preferred but not essential.
  • Understanding of the OTA segment is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience managing senior external stakeholders and complex commercial agreements.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to think laterally and make sound, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and deliver to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, influencing, and contributing to high performing teams.
  • High levels of initiative, accountability, and creativity in driving growth.
