As a Manager, you contribute to the State Development team by developing our defence industry capability by facilitating projects that are deemed valuable to the Queensland Economy. Facilitation requires skills in engaging with industry stakeholders, understanding the needs of the proponent and how these align with the priorities of government.

Your responsibilities

• Work with proponents and support the development and delivery of strategic and catalytic projects that will promote defence industry development in line with government priorities and report on progress.
• Work with proponents to provide a service that is targeted to their project needs that will facilitate industry development and supply chain development.
• Provide briefings, submissions, and other documentation that may be required.
• Leverage your networks to facilitate and assist industry to connect with all levels of government and use these networks to assist in facilitating the development of a project when required. Support the State Development leadership team to develop leadership and capacity building to deliver on the economic priorities of government
• Analyse trends and develop proposals to support policy development relevant to attracting investment to Queensland.
• Represent the department at meetings, committees and industry events as required, including building, and maintaining purposeful relationships with a portfolio of clients.
