This role combines hands-on administrative expertise with team leadership, rostering coordination, and stakeholder support—ensuring high-quality service delivery for staff, clinicians, and patients alike.

Your new role:
As the Administration Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the unit while maintaining high service quality and performance standards. Working closely with the Administration Manager, you will support clinical and non-clinical staff through effective coordination, supervision, and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Supervising and supporting an administrative team, including performance development, leave and flex balance monitoring, and recruitment support
- Coordinating staff training and development requests, ensuring appropriate cover, skill mix, and documentation
- Providing high-level administrative and secretarial support, including meeting secretariat duties, diary and email management, correspondence, and reporting
- Supporting HR, Payroll, MYHR, AVAC, HosPortal, and roster submission processes
You are a confident and organised administrative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and can balance people management with hands-on coordination.
You Will Bring
- Proven experience supervising or leading administrative staff
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, problem-solve, and work autonomously
- High-level administrative and secretarial skills, including minute-taking and report preparation
- Experience with rostering, leave management, and HR-related administrative processes

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.
We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.
We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
