The Program Support Officer provides and coordinates administrative tasks within the Restrictive Practice Operations unit in relation to the assessment of short term applications for the use of restrictive practices in Queensland as defined under the Disability Services Act 2006 as well as provide support in the planning, design, development, implementation, monitoring and review of programs, products, projects, and services targeted to the provision of quality Human Services. As a Program Support Officer (AO4) You Will
- Undertake duties in relation to the management of Short Term Approval applications for the use of restrictive practices received by the department including management and coordination of the Short Term Approval application's mailbox, initial processing, tracking and allocation of applications.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of administrative systems and data bases including monitoring and reporting processes and procedures relevant to the team (to the business unit).
- Monitor and record incoming correspondence and refer to the appropriate officer for actioning where required and advise management of emerging issues.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Consult with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including, management, regional offices, and staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of administrative support services relevant to the team.
- Undertake research tasks, project work and other tasks as required.
- Participate in the development and delivery of education and other resources to support compliance with regulatory systems and increase sector knowledge.
- Collate information for correspondence and assist in the preparation of submissions and reports, minutes, agendas, and secretariat functions relevant to the business area.
- Support departmental clinicians to undertake their functions, including managing data entry and compliance reporting where required.
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance (mandatory before commencing).
- There are no mandatory qualification requirements for this role, but previous experience of working in a clinical or behaviour support setting is desirable
