Your role within Queensland Government Accommodation Office will support the department to sustainably manage a significant building and residential portfolio, including office accommodation, government employee residences, convention centres, heritage buildings, bridges, statues, and other property assets. The work you do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us.The Queensland Government Accommodation Office (QGAO) centrally manages the largest office property portfolio in Queensland, with approximately 1 million square metres of space.
As the Lease Manager, you will report to the Principal Lease Manager. You will be responsible for negotiating and delivering whole-of-government lease procurement, administering lease contractual and financial obligations, providing tenancy management, incorporating whole-of government policy across all leasing environments
What You Will Be Doing
- Negotiating and delivery of leasing projects and the provision of office accommodation for the Department.
- Contribute towards the leasing team's planning and delivery of the supply of leased assets within the State Government's property portfolio.
- Provide lease management advice to multi-disciplinary teams involved in commercial leasing for the State Government's office property portfolio.
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and systems for best practice leased office accommodation procurement and ongoing management.
- Assist with the implementation of the leased component of whole-of-Government accommodation strategies.
- Implement policy and strategies within geographic or functional responsibilities.
- Undertake lease negotiation and lease management of a portfolio of leased buildings across leased and major leased buildings.
- Provide timely and well researched advice on marketplace conditions and industry trends to contribute towards the development of whole-of-Government Office Accommodation Strategic Plans.
- Negotiate and represent QGAO at intra and inter-departmental meetings, and at external forums.
- Collect and analyse data and assist with the preparation of briefing notes and information papers for the Government Office Accommodation Committee and for the Departmental Executive.
- Responsible for the preparation of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting information.
- Assist with the updating of streamlined lease management, and tenancy and financial management systems.
- Develop networks across Departments and with relevant industry organisations.
- Prepare executive correspondence and briefing notes.
