What You’ll Be Do
- Lead the Corporate Governance Team and mentor staff
- Advise on governance, compliance, and legislative matters
- Oversee Corporate Governance activities including local government elections, and internal management practice and policy reviews
- Drive local government reform initiatives
- Manage complaints, integrity, and compliance frameworks
- Develop high-quality reports and documents to Council
- Build relationships with key stakeholders
- Lead special projects and strategic research
What You’ll Bring
We’re seeking a governance leader with a passion for public sector excellence. You’ll ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Management, Law, or Public Sector
- Proven team leadership and development skills
- Significant experience with WA Local Government Act
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building
- Experience managing sensitive and confidential issues
- Ability to lead complex projects and drive reform
