Description:

As Payroll Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day payroll operations and leading a team of skilled payroll professionals. Reporting to the National Payroll Manager, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll services across a complex, high-volume environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring the payroll team to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Overseeing end-to-end payroll processing and ensuring compliance with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Acting as the point of escalation for complex payroll issues and providing expert guidance.
  • Driving process improvements and supporting payroll system enhancements.
  • Partnering with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and service excellence.



Requirements:

  • Significant experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a complex, high-volume environment.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Advanced knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
