Description:
- Process end‑to‑end payroll, including data entry, timesheet preparation, salary calculations, leave, superannuation, and other payroll transactions.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including deductions, contributions, leave, overtime, and employment changes.
- Respond to payroll queries and provide clear advice to managers and employees on payroll policies and processes.
- Produce payroll and HR reports while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Awards, and internal deadlines.
- Deliver high‑quality customer service and support continuous improvement through up‑to‑date payroll knowledge.
Requirements:
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- Previous experience in payroll processing with strong knowledge of payroll components, employment entitlements, and related calculations.
- Excellent time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- (Desirable) Experience with Technology One and a basic understanding of payroll‑related accounting principles.
