About The Division
Corporate Services Division provides a range of specialised performance enabling functions that supports QRA to meet its compliance obligations, operate efficiently and achieve its strategic priorities.
About The Team
The People team is a small high performing collaborative team that delivers human resources, employee relations and health, safety and wellbeing support services to QRA business groups.
About The Role
This role is responsible for providing expertise across a range of HR specialist areas with a key focus on workplace health, safety and wellbeing
- Provide expert advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of complex and sensitive HR matters, ensuring alignment with legislation, directives, industrial instruments and QRA's policies, procedures and business objectives.
- Lead and manage escalated people matters including employee grievances, performance and conduct matters, and injury management (rehabilitation and return to work coordination).
- Lead the implementation and delivery of QRA's Health, Safety, and Wellbeing plan 2026-2029, and its related projects and deliverables.
- Identify areas of need and conduct or coordinate education, coaching and training to enhance professional development in HR, WHS and wellbeing for managers.
- Provide strategic and operational advice to leaders and other relevant stakeholders on best practice WHS and wellbeing matters related to risk management, reasonable adjustments, ergonomics, injury management, and mental and physical health and wellbeing.
- Proactively identify hazards and risks arising from the work that QRA performs and monitor and interpret legislative developments, cases and best practice in HR, WHS and wellbeing.
- Maintain strong knowledge of contemporary practices and processes to lead the review and implementation of contemporary HR and WHS and wellbeing policies, frameworks and initiatives that are strategically aligned to QRA objectives and comply with relevant legislative and employment frameworks.
- Contribute to reporting on HR, WHS and wellbeing trends and performance and identify and escalate potential risks, supporting the development of mitigation strategies.
- Lead the facilitation of networks, workshops, and information and training sessions to build organisational capability, address emerging needs and support continuous improvement.
- Represent the People Team and QRA at internal working groups and committees and in whole-of-government forums and communities of practice to ensure appropriate guidance and support is provided to internal stakeholders.
- Establish and foster collaborative working relationships across QRA and with external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Undertake related People projects and other operational duties of equivalent complexity as required.
