Description:
- Lead statutory reporting, audits, and IFRS compliance across monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
- Manage taxation obligations including BAS, FBT, payroll tax, royalties, income tax returns, and support tax planning and transfer pricing
- Oversee group consolidation, financial control, and intercompany accounting, ensuring accurate reporting, reconciliations, and strong internal controls
- Drive systems improvement and ERP optimisation, managing month‑end processes, chart of accounts, and supporting system users.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to financial accountants, while contributing to budgeting, cash flow management, and ad hoc corporate finance projects (including M&A and insurance).
Requirements:
A successful Principal Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or CA.
- Experience working in big four or mid-tier firm in audit or tax
- Extensive knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
