In response to our fast growth and market expansion, we are looking for a Head of Project Management APAC.

What We Need You To Do And Be

Role overview:

The Head of Project Management, APAC is responsible for defining and maintaining a high-performing project delivery capability across the region.

The role focuses on capability leadership, governance, and strategic oversight rather than direct project delivery. It ensures that projects are delivered consistently, predictably, and in line with RELEX’s global delivery framework, while supporting growth through effective capability development and resource planning. You will also support the sales team’s initiatives through providing insight on implementation methodology, project timelines, resourcing requirements and approach.

The role will also own and guide a portfolio of software implementation projects in the field of supply chain management & merchandising. As a project owner, you will responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the RELEX software by building senior (Director, CX Suite) customer relationships, setting out the project strategy, negotiating, escalation regarding scope, resource and commercials, and ensuring projects meet the KPI expectations of both RELEX and the customer. Ensuring all timelines are met by overseeing project plans, budget and communication plans by the wider project team including senior stakeholders.

This role works closely with regional and global leadership, Professional Services, Sales, and Continuous Service teams to ensure outcomes meet both customer and business expectations.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the overall resourcing strategy of the Project Management function across APAC, including long-term capacity planning
  • Accountable for portfolio profitability in partnership with regional delivery and services leadership
  • Accountable for the quality, consistency, and outcomes of project delivery across the region
  • Owns regional adoption and execution of global Project Management methodology and governance standards
  • Drives continuous improvement and maturity uplift of regional best practices, contributing meaningfully to global best practices
  • Defines and owns the growth paths of Project Managers, Project Owners, and PMO team members, including training, coaching, and peer support models
  • Acts as a senior escalation point for delivery, resourcing, and governance issues
  • Partners with Sales and Professional Services leadership to support presales activities, deal shaping, and delivery approach definition
  • Provides strategic insight into delivery risk, capacity constraints, and portfolio health at a regional level
  • Builds strong internal stakeholder relationships across APAC and with global delivery leadership
  • Acts as Project Owner for a portfolio of projects spanning different customer accounts. Tasks include:
    • Accountable for project profitability and reporting


    • Accountable for the project plan with the project team


    • Guiding and agreeing the communication plan, including steering group meetings


    • Responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships with key stakeholders (Director and CX Suite level)


    • Ensuring that all stakeholders are adequately informed of project progress internally & externally


    • Accountable for project scope and project commercials


    • Acting as an escalation point for key decisions or bottlenecks from the project team


    • Acting as an escalation point for key internal strategic decisions such as resourcing

Key requirements:

  • Strong understanding of project delivery governance, resourcing models, and portfolio management
  • Experience leading successful IT system implementations within Retail or Manufacturing IT landscapes
  • Experience working with distributed regional teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across executive and operational levels
  • Experience of senior positions on governance or steering committees
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact confidently with customer stakeholders, influence and negotiate
  • Strong risk analysis and risk management plans; being able to look ahead mitigating risk, and steering the strategic direction of projects appropriately

What we consider a strong plus:

  • Qualified to degree level OR sustained experience of working in the retail industry or leading IT systems implementations
  • Experience operating in a multi-country or regional leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop project delivery professionals
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards growing the business
  • Supply Chain Industry knowledge, particularly Retail or Manufacturing
  • Any other Asian languages at a high level of competency
  • Project Management qualifications
