About CO-architecture

CO-architecture is Australia’s leading online marketplace and community platform, connecting homeowners and businesses with top architecture and design professionals. Our platform simplifies the process of finding, hiring, and collaborating with industry experts - all in one place.

At our core, CO-architecture is about championing the people behind great design. Through thoughtful editorial content, industry events, graduate programs, and a growing creative network, we shine a light on the architects, designers, and studios shaping the built environment across Australia.

We believe design should be accessible, transparent, and celebrated - and we're building the platform to make that happen. Whether you're planning a renovation, launching a studio, or simply looking for inspiration, CO-architecture is where design journeys begin.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented and thoughtful writer to join our growing team at CO-architecture. This is a unique opportunity for a design-curious storyteller with a sharp eye for SEO to shape how thousands of Australians discover architecture and design online. From writing rich editorial features to crafting search-optimised guides, your work will connect readers with inspiring homes, projects, and the people who create them.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Write original, engaging articles on architecture, interiors, and design
  • Create SEO-driven content such as design guides, location-based roundups, and homeowner resources
  • Conduct interviews and translate them into polished editorial features
  • Optimise headlines, subheadings, metadata, and internal linking for strong organic performance
  • Source images, maintain editorial documents, and manage deadlines across multiple projects
  • Stay on top of Australian design trends and keyword insights to pitch relevant article ideas

What You’ll Bring

  • 1+ years’ experience in writing, copywriting, journalism, or content production
  • A strong understanding of on-page SEO and keyword-based writing
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills
  • An interest in architecture, interiors, and the broader Australian design landscape
  • Ability to manage multiple stories and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a collaborative mindset

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people of any race, sexual orientation, gender, age or ethnicity, and those who are culturally or linguistically diverse, gender diverse, neuro-diverse or living with a disability.
