We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow (A) to join the School of Chemical Engineering, contributing to cutting-edge research in metal-ion battery energy storage.
A full-time (1.0FTE), fixed term contract for 2 years to build and test next-gen metal-ion batteries, create materials, and manage energy storage research projects.

The team
Working under the supervision of Professor David Lewis, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow is based within the School of Chemical Engineering in the in the College of Engineering and Information Technology at the Adelaide City Campus (East).

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or related field.
- metal ion battery energy storage;
- laboratory based battery development, assembly, and testing;
- modern materials synthesis methodologies, such as electrodepositing and electroplating;
- modern materials characterization methodologies, such as Scanning Electron Microscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy, and X-ray powder diffraction.
Ability to work within a research group that includes a combination of undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and senior academic staff, under the direction of a supervisor. Good written (e.g. technical reports and scientific journal publications) and oral communication skills (e.g. seminars and conference presentations). Strong evidence of ability to undertake, complete and write-up scientific research (e.g. scientific journal publications).Our commitment to inclusion and diversity
