Description:
The Financial Controller is responsible for the following:
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage a team of 5 incorporating Management Accountant, Financial Accountant and accounts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage cash flow and oversee financial planning processes.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
- Management and Cost Accounting activities
- Developing a business partnering function with site and operations
- Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team to achieve organisational goals.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business decisions.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
Requirements:
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation such as CPA or CA.
- Experience in financial management within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
