The Role
As a key member of QGAir's Safety and Quality team, you will support the Head of Safety and Quality to ensure our operations meet the highest standards of compliance, risk management and performance. Your work will include analysing safety and quality data, identifying trends, and helping drive solutions that make a real difference to operational safety. You will be responsible for conducting audits and investigations, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build strong partnerships to embed a culture of accountability, safety and excellence across the organisation.
Full-time, permanent position available in Brisbane.
Key Accountabilities
Your Key Accountabilities will include:
- Assist the Head of Safety and Quality by preparing and analysing monthly safety and quality reports, including the identification of trends and causal factor analysis for QGAir operations to ensure issues are identified and actioned in accordance with the QGAir Safety and Quality System.
- Assist the Head of Safety and Quality with internal risk management practices, including direct liaison with QGAir operations to ensure corporate and operational risks are identified and mitigated by relevant department heads.
- Undertake support functions for QGAir safety, quality and risk committees, including the development and maintenance of relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to achieve safety and quality outcomes.
- Monitor changes to legislation, operational requirements or other industry events that may impact QGAir safety and quality and provide briefings to the Aviation Operations Leadership Team when amendments to documentation and/or databasefunctions are required.
- Provide assistance to the Head of Safety and Quality in the conduct of audits and investigations, to drive continual improvement in QGAir safety and quality document administration.

Although not essential, the following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded:
- Previous experience in aviation safety and quality
- High level knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements
- Previous experience as a lead auditor
- Previous experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 frameworks
- Microsoft Power BI
- Experience in Dangerous Goods management
- Aviation Incident Management System Experience
