A highly respected Global Investment Bank is continuing to grow its Global Markets presence in Australia and has created a new Middle Office role to support its expanding Front Office Sales & Trading desk.
This opportunity suits a high-performing Capital Markets Operations / Trade Support professional, ready to step into a front-office aligned role, working closely with Sales, Trading, clients, and global teams. You’ll act as a key point of contact between the local Front Office and offshore operations teams in Asia and Europe.
You’ll be the go-to person for stakeholders - helping resolve issues quickly, escalate settlement fails, support post-trade queries, and help the business stay compliant and operationally sound.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing trade allocations across FX, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives & Money Market products, ensuring smooth end-to-end deal flow
- Supporting settlement processes, tracking fails, and acting as escalation point for internal and external stakeholders
- Responding to post-trade client queries including novations, allocation adjustments, and booking errors
- Coordinating with offshore Middle and Back Office teams to ensure timely execution and accurate bookings
- Participating in cross-functional projects including new product rollouts, system improvements, and regulatory enhancements
- Maintaining daily controls, reporting, and compliance with governance and procedure frameworks

- Previous experience in Capital Markets Operations, Trade Support, or Middle Office with specific Fixed Income / Bonds product exposure, is essential.
- Background within a global investment bank preferred
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and allocations
- Strong academics and a proactive, detail-driven mindset
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with Front Office & Clients
- A proactive mindset with the ability to resolve issues autonomously
- Australian PR or Citizenship is essential
- Flexibility to work staggered hours (approx. 10–11am start / 7–8pm finish ) to align with offshore teams
