Full-Time | Continuing HEO6 | $92,287 - $98,398 Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country View Position Description

About the Role

The Senior Student Enrolment Officer plays a key role in ensuring the administration and provision of student-centred support services across the student lifecycle, along with providing support to the Enrolments and Reporting team at key reporting times to ensure ongoing compliance with TCSI requirements.

Some of the key position responsibilities are:

Supporting the administration and coordination of a range of complex enrolment related functions across the University (study plan management, enrolment corrections, requisite and load management Interpreting and responding to complex enquiries from stakeholders (including students, parents, University staff, external organisations) and providing advice to staff on policy and operational matters relating to enrolment services Provision of subject matter expertise and advice to students and staff in relation to enrolment and related student administration services matters. Developing and promoting effective processes and enhanced innovative business practices for a broad range of student administration activities.

About You

This is a highly collaborative role, so your exemplary communication, customer service and interpersonal skills will be crucial as you develop, maintain and enhance relationships with students, staff and other stakeholders (including student’s parents).

Your goal is to influence successful outcomes through utilising your proven constructive and collaborative interaction and negotiation skills, while making decisions and applying high level judgment and problem-solving skills when dealing with complex matters.

To be successful in the role you will also need:

Experience in, and well-developed knowledge of processes related to the provision of support services in a large, diverse and dynamic environment Proven ability to exercise initiative, establish priorities and manage complex workflows with non-negotiable deadlines Demonstrated commitment to continuous business process improvement including experience in implementing initiatives to evaluate business systems, policies, processes and procedures and generating solutions.

The ideal candidate will also hold appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience and/or education and training

About Student Administration Services

Student Administration Services operates under a university wide matrix services model. SAS teams are integrated within each of our five colleges, along with the front-end student service hub (Flinders Connect) and university-wide administration services to provide support across the student lifecycle, from admissions through to graduations.

The suite of services that the SAS unit delivers are crucial to the student experience. These services act as the scaffold around the learning experience. In a world of increasing choices and options for students, service excellence is non-negotiable. In SAS, we understand that improving the student experience requires a holistic, one team approach.

The SAS team also likes to have fun and we celebrate our successes. Although spread across colleges and campuses, we take time to come together and build relationships across teams. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse and interpret data and proficiency in working with complex database systems such as a student management information system. Proven ability to make decisions and apply high-level judgement and problem-solving skills when dealing with sensitive, complex matters. Demonstrated ability to work independently, accurately and with close attention to detail as well as working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver operational services in a high-volume work environment and achieving strategic outcomes.
