You will help lead NIISQ's innovation initiatives, including scaling our Artificial Intelligence experiment pipeline.This role is responsible for co-ordinating cross-functional initiatives that bring together emerging technologies, design methodologies and Agile practices to experiment and drive innovative solutions for our Agencies and key stakeholders.
You will be instrumental in enabling iterative Agile sprints, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring a strong focus on client needs, continuous improvement, a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will blend strategy and hands-on delivery - guiding early-stage discovery, facilitating sprints, leading pilots with stakeholders, whilst building capability in innovation.
Your role
Your role is to ensure end to end Agile discovery sprints across innovation initiatives and experiments, and work across MAIS-Q Agency teams.
- Shape and oversee the scope and delivery of innovation experiments using agile practices and ceremonies, develop clear problem statements and deliver measurable outcomes, and drive sprint timeframes in collaboration with cross-functional team members and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to identify new ways to deliver value across service delivery and operations.
- Ensure ethical, responsible and informed AI experiments and pilots aligned with NIISQs values and our AI Framework.
- Lead the Agile discovery lifecycle, across innovation initiatives including planning, kick-off, sprint planning, retrospectives, success criteria, documentation & opportunities for improvement.
- Proactively track and support innovation initiatives including activity allocation, assumptions, dependencies, risks, issues, and report on sprint progress and outcomes.
- Champion Human-Centred Design (HCD) principles across all innovation work, ensuring solutions are grounded in lived experience of end users through co-design and other HCD research methods.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, lead and participate in cross functional teams, facilitate positive communication and continuous improvement, and collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and technical team.
- Lead and implement effective initiative management, timely reporting, sound governance and innovation cultural activities to encourage positive and effective acceptance of experimental culture.
- Other appropriate duties as directed or negotiated, commensurate with the role.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt complex content to various audiences.
- Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies, human centred design and working with collaboratively with technical teams.
- High level knowledge of ethical AI frameworks, accessibility, privacy and data governance.
