About The Opportunity
We are seeking a Clinical Educator to play a pivotal role in driving clinical excellence across Healthdirect’s service lines. As part of the Quality, Safety & Experience team, you will design, deliver and evaluate high‑quality education programs that directly enhance clinical safety, capability and consumer experience.
Working closely with Clinical, Learning & Development and Service Operations teams, this role supports capability uplift across diverse clinical disciplines (including nursing, medical and mental health) and multiple service channels (phone, video and digital). You will translate clinical and quality data into targeted education interventions, support continuous quality improvement, and help embed evidence‑based practice across all service lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify clinical capability gaps using incident data, audits, consumer feedback and quality metrics to target education priorities
- Design and deliver evidence‑based education programs that improve clinical practice, safety and consumer experience
- Evaluate the impact of education through audits, behaviour change indicators and measurable improvements in clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with clinical SMEs to develop high‑quality, accessible learning content grounded in current evidence and clinical standards
- Support new services, guideline updates and digital health technologies through training, competency frameworks and readiness assessments
- Contribute to clinical governance activities including incident reviews, accreditation preparation and quality improvement work
- Deliver education across multiple modalities (virtual, face‑to‑face, self‑paced, simulation) while maintaining current clinical and digital health expertise
- Extensive nursing experience (5+ years) in acute, primary care or telehealth settings
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical education, training or professional development roles
- Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies and accreditation standards (e.g., NSQHS)
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement across clinical and operational teams
- Ability to design and evaluate education programs with measurable outcomes
- Competent with digital health technologies and able to rapidly adopt new systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex clinical knowledge for varied audiences
- Interest in emerging digital health technologies
- Experience with analytics or tracking clinical metrics
- Prior involvement in quality improvement projects or incident investigations
