About The Opportunity
At Qscan, technology plays a critical role in supporting exceptional patient care. We’re looking for an IT Support Technician who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and keeping systems running smoothly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the first point of contact for IT support , providing timely and effective technical support across the Group, helping users stay productive and minimising disruptions to patient care. You’ll diagnose and resolve IT issues, support day-to-day system performance, and contribute to ongoing improvements across our technology environment.
This is a permanent, full-time role located at our Qscan Toowong clinic.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing first-line IT support to end users across the Group.
- Diagnosing, resolving, and escalating technical incidents as required.
- Monitoring and maintaining the performance, reliability, and security of IT systems.
- Supporting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assisting with IT projects, system upgrades, and technology enhancements.
- Educating users on best practices for system use and data protection.
- Maintaining accurate records of incidents, fixes, and system configurations.
- Working closely with clinicians, internal teams, and external vendors to meet operational needs.
- Participate in on-call support (24/7 rotation), resolving incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to clinical workflows.
We’re looking for an experienced IT support professional who can take ownership of technical issues, balance competing priorities, and deliver reliable, high-quality support.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in an IT support role, providing hands-on support across hardware, software, and systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently and effectively.
- The ability to manage multiple incidents and prioritise effectively.
- A solid understanding of security, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
- Current Australian driver's license.
- Tertiary qualification/certificates in Information Technology or related discipline (desired but not essential).
