Reporting to the CEO, this is an opportunity to take ownership of the People and Culture function. Initially reviewing current policies and procedures and implementing best practice. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Lead and manage a small Human Resources department, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Provide expert advice and support to managers on employee relations and performance management.
- Drive initiatives to enhance workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Manage the payroll process and employee benefits, including superannuation.
- Analyse HR metrics and report on key performance indicators to senior management.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
- A strong background in Human Resources, preferably within the professional services industry.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading HR teams and managing complex HR functions.
- Excellent knowledge of Australian employment legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across all levels.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with organisational goals.
- Proficiency in HR systems and data analysis to inform decision-making.
