We've been exclusively mandated by a Private Capital backed renewable energy investment platform. With a multi GW pipeline of projects currently in development and several projects soon to hit FID, they're looking to build out the team substantial.
The Role
The Associate – Renewables Investments is responsible for delivering high-quality financial modelling, commercial analysis, and transaction execution support to enable well-informed investment decisions and successful financing outcomes.
This role plays a key part in the organisation’s strategy by ensuring that every project is thoroughly evaluated, appropriately structured, and optimised for bankability, thereby supporting the successful development and delivery of the generation and storage renewable energy portfolio.
The Candidate
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Management, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in infrastructure finance and investment analysis within the renewable or energy sector.
- Advanced financial modelling expertise, capable of independently developing and analysing complex non-recourse project finance models.
- Strong understanding of the Australian energy market, including NEM revenue structures and merchant risk.
- Proven experience across at least one full non-recourse project finance lifecycle—from development through financing to construction and operations—with preferred exposure to Wind, Pumped Hydro & BESS.
- M&A and equity investment experience viewed favourably.
- Demonstrated project management skills to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver outcomes across financing and investment streams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial and commercial concepts clearly.
- Must hold valid working rights in Australia.
