Description:
- Drive a workday 5 soft close of the P&L; lead month end
- Finalize transfer pricing, tax journals, and balance sheet reviews.
- Complete legal entity reviews, ownership checks, reconciliations, and required publications.
- Prepare complex reconciliations (incl. bank, ASIC‑related recons, intercompany) and produce clear variance analysis & commentary.
- Prepare tax journals and working papers; support GST/BAS and transfer pricing processes in collaboration with the Head of Tax
- Coordinate with Group teams where returns are lodged at Group level; ensure quality inputs, reconciliations, and on‑time submissions.
- Monitor bank movements and approvals
- Drive process improvement and challenge the status quo to build scalable practices across entities
Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion.
- Financial services/fintech experience is advantageous but not requisite
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- An eagerness to work in a fast paced, rapidly scaling business
- An ability to think critically and creatively, challenge the norm!
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to partner across the business and offshore are key
