Description:
- Monitor budgets, analyse variances, and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure timely processing of financial transactions.
- Support audits by preparing required documentation and addressing audit queries.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure financial data integrity and accuracy.
- Undertake day-to-day financial operations related to the production of financial information and reports including month-end and year-end processes, journal processing, account reviews and reconciliations,
- Providing accurate financial information ensuring integrity and effective operation of the agency's general ledgers
- Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on financial and administrative policies and practices including identifying issues and concerns, and options for improvement.
- Contribute towards the development, monitoring and evaluation of financial management strategies and practices, which ensure compliance with statutory requirements and government policy
- Undertake financial administrative duties and other administration duties as directed.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Thorough with a great attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
* Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment
* Demonstrates sound governance and best practice to be able to undertake process improvements
* Knowledge of public sector financial practices and regulations
