About the Role:

Flinders University is seeking a motivated and industry-engaged Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Networking to contribute to high-quality teaching and impactful research aligned with the University’s strengths in computing, cybersecurity, networking and digital forensics.

The Associate Lecturer / Lecturer in Cybersecurity and Networking will contribute across:

High-quality, ethical research in cybersecurity, networking and/or digital forensics aligned with College research strengths Innovative, student-centred teaching using contemporary, flexible and multi-mode delivery Development and coordination of topics across undergraduate and postgraduate programs Supervision and mentoring of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students (commensurate with level) Collaboration and engagement with industry and external stakeholders to enhance teaching, learning and research outcomes

This position is open to domestic candidates with Australian Work Rights.

About You

You are a collaborative and student-focused academic or emerging academic with expertise in cybersecurity and networking and a commitment to high-quality teaching and scholarship. You bring strong technical knowledge, contemporary discipline skills, and the ability to contribute to both education and research outcomes.

Your expertise may include areas such as cybersecurity operations, network security, secure systems, digital forensics, cloud and infrastructure security, or applied networking technologies.

You will bring:

A completed PhD (Lecturer level) or progress toward/completed higher qualification (Associate Lecturer level) in cybersecurity, networking, digital forensics, or a closely related computing discipline Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in tertiary teaching, including curriculum design and delivery across face-to-face and online modes, or strong potential to develop these capabilities Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver topics in cybersecurity, networking and digital forensics at introductory and advanced levels A research track record appropriate to career stage, including quality publications and/or emerging research capability Industry certifications or capability to deliver vendor-certified curriculum (e.g., Cisco CCNA Instructor, CyberOps Instructor or similar) (Desirable)
