- Position available as Lecturer (Level B, $111,031 - $131,335 per annum) Senior Lecturer (Level C, $135,388 – $155,696 per annum or Associate Professor (Level D, $162,460 – $178,700 per annum) plus 17% superannuation

Work that matters
This role provides leadership and excellence in veterinary anaesthesia clinical service delivery, teaching, and academic contribution within the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences at Adelaide University. The appointee will deliver advanced anaesthesia and analgesia services across companion and large animal clinical settings, while contributing to high-quality teaching through course coordination, lectures, tutorials, practicals and clinical rotations for DVM and Veterinary Technology students. Working within a modern veterinary teaching hospital, the role supports the education and mentoring of future veterinary professionals through active involvement in case management and the modelling of best-practice clinical and professional standards.

You will report to the Head of School and work within the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, contributing to clinical service delivery, teaching, and research. The School plays a vital role in educating future veterinary professionals and advancing animal and veterinary sciences through world-class clinical and research programs.

- Veterinary Science qualification eligible for registration with the VSBSA
Level C
Veterinary Science qualification eligible for registration with the VSBSA Specialist qualifications in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia Proven ability to independently deliver and develop clinical anaesthesia services Demonstrated leadership and significant contribution to tertiary teaching in veterinary anaesthesia Evidence of scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across clinical, teaching and research teamsLevel D
Veterinary Science qualification eligible for registration with the VSBSA Specialist qualifications in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and a doctoral-level research degree Proven ability to lead a clinical referral service in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia Demonstrated success in training veterinary anaesthesia residents to specialist level Strong publication record and evidence of attracting research funding Established leadership and collaboration across clinical, teaching and research domainsAppointment will be made at the appropriate level commensurate with the successful candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.
