About the Lecturer in Paramedicine Role (Level B)

This Teaching Specialist (Clinical/Practitioner) position focuses on high-quality teaching and related activities that draw on current professional paramedicine practice. It supports the University’s strategic vision, Making a Difference: The 2025 Agenda, and plays a key role in delivering a student-centred, future-focused learning experience.

As a Lecturer in Paramedicine within the College of Medicine and Public Health, you will contribute to teaching excellence across the Bachelor of Paramedicine program. You will be responsible for independently delivering high-quality teaching and engaging in the scholarship of teaching, informed by contemporary clinical practice.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Clinical qualifications in paramedicine and current registration (or eligibility) with the Paramedicine Board of Australia (PBA)/AHPRA. Experience in teaching and learning at a tertiary level and/or in relevant workplace settings, including the use of simulation. Evidence of professional development in teaching, including peer or supervisor feedback, curriculum review, or accreditation involvement. Experience coordinating teaching teams or academic staff A PhD, EdD and/or qualifications with equivalent advanced clinical practice experience

About the Senior Lecturer in Paramedicine Role (Level C)

This Teaching Specialist (Clinical/Practitioner) position is focused on delivering high-quality teaching and related academic activities informed by current professional practice. It plays a key role in supporting the University’s strategic vision, Making a Difference: The 2025 Agenda.

As a Senior Lecturer in Paramedicine within the College of Medicine and Public Health, you will provide academic leadership in teaching and learning across a range of topics and courses. You will contribute significantly to the advancement of teaching practice through innovation and integration of contemporary clinical knowledge.

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia. A strong understanding of the integration between teaching, scholarship, and current paramedic clinical practice. Evidence of scholarly teaching and engagement in professional development in higher education. Demonstrated innovation and leadership in teaching design, delivery, and evaluation, including e-learning integration. Active engagement with relevant professional bodies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
