Description:
Yo-Chi was built on one idea: delicious frozen yoghurt, good energy, and a space where everyone feels welcome. We opened our first venue in Balaclava in September 2012, kick-starting Melbourne’s self-serve froyo scene. Proudly family-owned and Australian, we’re now expanding fast. We’re looking for a Head of Supply Chain to lead our end-to-end supply chain as we scale nationally and into new international markets. You’ll step into a function with two team members already in place, bringing direction, structure, and pace as complexity grows.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end supply chain across ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution.
- Manage and develop an existing team of two, setting clear priorities and building a strong team rhythm.
- Strengthen supplier performance across quality, service levels, cost, and risk — and build a scalable supplier base.
- Own demand and supply planning to support new venue rollouts and seasonal demand shifts.
- Lift forecasting, inventory accuracy, OTIF (on-time/in-full), and reduce waste.
- Partner closely with Ops, Finance, and Product to align supply plans to growth, menu changes, and commercial targets.
- Oversee logistics and distribution performance so venues stay stocked and service doesn’t miss a beat.
- Create market-entry playbooks for launches (demand planning, launch stock, warehousing/distribution options, service KPIs).
- Build the supply chain blueprint for new markets (sourcing model, manufacturing options, logistics, lead times, compliance).
- Own food safety, quality, compliance, traceability, and supply risk planning.
- Manage key cost drivers (COGS, freight, warehousing, MOQs) and deliver to budget.
- Strong supply chain leadership experience in food/FMCG/QSR
- Proven experience creating, reviewing, and negotiating supply agreements/contracts, including commercials, service levels, and risk terms
- Experience scaling a multi-site business through rapid growth/rollouts.
- Confidence leading a small team - hands-on when needed, strategic when it counts.
- Solid supplier negotiation skills and a practical, commercial mindset.
- International supply chain experience (or strong import/export and partner setup exposure).
- Calm, organised, proactive, ability to solve problems before they become emergencies.
- Big growth plans and a supply chain role with real ownership.
- Great team culture and dynamic
- A fast-moving, supportive culture where you can make a real impact.
