Organise. Enable. Empower impact.Tandem Carers is the voice for family, carers, and supporters of people experiencing mental health challenges in Victoria. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide critical support to our CEO and Board.
About The Role
Join Tandem’s purpose to strengthen the voice of family and carers in Victoria’s mental health system. As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the CEO’s office and support governance and leadership processes. You will coordinate schedules, meetings, correspondence, and events, enabling our CEO and leadership team to focus on delivering strategic impact. This position is 0.8 FTE but we are also open to receiving applications of those seeking full-time hours.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing high-level administrative support to the CEO, including managing emails, calendars, correspondence, and reports.
- Supporting leadership and committee governance, including preparing agendas, collating papers, taking minutes, and assisting with inductions.
- Coordinating leadership and staff meetings, events, and CEO travel arrangements.
- Overseeing office operations, including liaising with contractors, managing supplies, and supporting reception duties.
- Assisting with onboarding/offboarding processes and IT coordination.
- Supporting compliance, process improvement, and operational efficiency across the organisation.
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, or Office Manager supporting senior leaders and/or CEO.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including document preparation and minute-taking.
- High attention to detail and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience in office management, events coordination, and basic IT or systems support is highly valued.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
- Lived or living experience as a carer, family member, or friend of someone experiencing mental health challenges is highly regarded.
