Job Description

The Chief Product & Marketing Officer Role

The Chief Product & Marketing Officer (CPMO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and is accountable for shaping and delivering Beyond Bank’s enterprise-wide product, payments, marketing and brand strategies. The CPMO ensures BBA offers compelling, competitive, compliant and member-led products while building a strong, purpose-aligned brand presence across all channels. The role integrates product, pricing, experience, digital and brand strategies to support financial and member-value outcomes.

You will be a key leader in the organisation embracing and advocating our marketing positioning at every opportunity.

In this role, you will

  • Lead creation and evolution of a member-centric product and payments strategy aligned to BBA’s strategic plan.
  • Oversee product design, innovation, lifecycle management and responsible pricing frameworks.
  • Ensure products meet regulatory obligations and deliver strong member outcomes.
  • Lead development of a clear, differentiated brand strategy aligned to purpose and values.
  • Drive integrated marketing strategies to support acquisition, retention and growth.
  • Oversee digital, content, campaign and communication strategies.
  • Embed member insights, research and behavioural data into product design and marketing programs.
  • Champion seamless member journeys across product, digital and distribution channels.
  • Lead development of value propositions supporting member financial wellbeing.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven executive leadership, ideally within financial services, community organisations, or related sectors.
  • Extensive experience in building and managing strategic partnerships at an executive level.
  • Success in shaping and delivering product and marketing strategy aligned to organisational goals.
  • Proven ability to lead change and build capability.
  • Strong advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic planning abilities.
  • Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application within a member-centric banking environment.
