Sydney Full-day Full-time

Description:

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Head of Contracting Management to lead and optimise the technology contracting portfolio. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving contract performance, forecasting revenue pipelines, mitigating commercial risk, and identifying growth opportunities within the technology services landscape.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in technology contracts and operate with a forward-looking, revenue-focused mindset - proactively identifying potential revenue dips, activating contracting strategies to stabilise performance, and evaluating future commercial opportunities.

  • Lead the end-to-end management of complex technology contracts across enterprise clients.
  • Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Drive contract governance, compliance, and risk mitigation frameworks.
  • Forecast contract performance and revenue across the portfolio.
  • Identify early indicators of revenue contraction or pipeline gaps.
  • Proactively "dial up" contracting activity to offset projected revenue dips.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate future commercial opportunities and expansion strategies.
  • Ensure strong commercial terms that protect margin and minimise risk.
  • Lead negotiations on high-value technology contracts and renewals.
  • Assess pricing models, service structures, and contract variations to optimise profitability.
  • Provide financial modelling and scenario planning for contract pipeline sustainability.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams.
  • Act as a senior advisor on contractual risk and commercial positioning.
  • Build trusted relationships with key enterprise clients and vendors.

Requirements:

A successful Head of Contracting Management should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in law or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in contract management within the Technology & Telecoms industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. You are a commercially driven contracting leader who understands that contract management is not just governance - it is a growth lever.
  • Essential Experience
  • Significant senior-level experience managing complex technology contracts (IT services, digital transformation, managed services, SaaS, or enterprise technology environments).
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast contract revenue and manage portfolio performance.
  • Proven experience identifying revenue risks and activating strategies to mitigate downturns.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating high-value technology agreements.
  • Deep understanding of contractual frameworks, risk allocation, pricing structures, and margin management.
  • Capabilities
  • Strategic thinker with a data-led approach to forecasting and performance optimisation.
  • Strong financial literacy and commercial modelling capability.
  • Confident executive communicator and negotiator.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Growth mindset - proactive, opportunity-focused, and commercially sharp.
