Description:
The Principal Policy Officer, Lived-Living Experience will use well developed Lived-Living Experience leadership expertise along with program and project management skills, business acumen and knowledge of the sector to progress the state-wide elevation of collective lived-living experience perspectives.The role will work across all Queensland Mental Health Commission teams to ensure lived-living experience is embedded across strategic system reform planning, policy development, project management and governance.
The role will also support the implementation of the Commission's Commitment to partnering with people with lived-living experience in Queensland.
Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be a person who identifies ashaving a direct personal experience of mental ill-health, and/or harms related to using alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and/or suicidal distress OR to be aperson who identifies as a family member, kin, unpaid carer, or other unpaid supporter of someone experiencing mental ill-health, and/or harms fromAOD use, and/or suicidal distress, including people bereaved by suicide.
