People and Culture Coordinator (Dual Property Role)

Based onsite at Pullman Melbourne City Centre & Mercure Welcome Melbourne, our People and Culture Coordinator will have the opportunity to work as part of the Accor Group, owned by Erdi - a privately owned company that operates a successful collection of hotels and businesses throughout Australia.

This position will have the dual benefits of working with an international Hotel Group with amazing career opportunities operated by a smaller family run business. Working closely with the People & Culture team and partnering with operational leaders, you will provide both strategic support and hands-on administrative expertise to ensure smooth, compliant and people-focused HR operations.


As a part of P&C, you are an integral stakeholder with the business Managers in our team, you will be working very closely with business managers and our teams


Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

• Support end-to-end recruitment including advertising, screening, interviews, reference checks and offer generation

• Coordinate onboarding and induction processes

• Prepare employment contracts, variation letters and other employment documentation

• Manage probation reviews and employment confirmations

• Coordinate offboarding processes including exit interviews and final documentation


HR Administration & Compliance

• Establish and maintain accurate employee records and HRIS systems

• Ensure compliance with Fair Work, NES, Awards and internal policies

• Monitor visa compliance and right-to-work documentation

• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times

• Support payroll coordination including contract variations and employment changes


Employee Relations & Support

• Provide first-level advice and guidance on People & Culture matters

• Assist with performance management processes

• Support investigations, counselling and mediation where required

• Coordinate employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives

• Assist in managing grievances and workplace concerns


Learning & Development

• Coordinate training sessions and compliance training

• Support leadership development initiatives

• Track training attendance and maintain training records

• Assist with succession planning and talent development initiatives


Engagement, Culture & Recognition

• Promote a fun, inclusive and high-performing culture

• Coordinate reward and recognition programs

• Support engagement survey initiatives and action planning

• Assist with social events and team-building activities


Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare HR reports including turnover, headcount and recruitment metrics

• Support workforce planning initiatives

• Assist in analysing engagement and retention data


To be successful in this role you need:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills will be critical to managing your day-to-day routine
  • Enthusiasm and drive to contribute to & support a great workplace culture
  • An excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications is essential
  • Previous HR experience.


It would be nice if you had:

  • Prior hotel or hospitality experience
  • Prior knowledge or experience in using HRIS (Tanda, Workday and etc.)
  • Understanding of Awards and industrial instruments
