Description:

  • Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for all workplace activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on OH&S regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor compliance with workplace safety standards and legislative requirements.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and reports.
  • Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety across all departments.
  • Stay updated on industry-specific safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

A successful OH&S Specialist should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Experience in the medical, dental or veterinary sector would be preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian workplace health and safety legislation.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and compliance documentation.

Conditions:

  • Competitive salary package ranging from AUD 132,000 to AUD 145,000.
  • Inclusive of base salary plus superannuation.
  • Permanent full-time role with the head office based in Melbourne.
