As a Project Officer, You Will
As Project Officer, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in the sustainable management and conservation of Queensland's parks and forests. Working closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and First Nations partners, you will contribute to protecting the natural and cultural values of some of the state's most remarkable landscapes.

In this role, you will help ensure our parks and forests are managed in alignment with environmental and legislative standards, with a focus on estate management and land dealings. You may also provide support to other operational priorities, such as pest management, fire management, and visitor safety, as required. We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual who is passionate about estate management, conservation, and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders. Your ability to prioritise tasks, think strategically, and provide clear advice will be essential in delivering effective outcomes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you will also have:
- Strong knowledge of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and Forestry Act 1959, with the ability to interpret and apply legislation effectively.
- Experience in estate management, land dealings, or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to research, analyse, and develop solutions to complex issues.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
- Experience in pest management, fire management, or visitor management would be highly regarded.
