The Opportunity
The School of Science is seeking a forward-thinking and innovative academic to contribute to impactful teaching, curriculum design and research in Food Science. You will play a key role in strengthening learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, ensuring that teaching is informed by contemporary scholarship and emerging trends in the discipline.
As a Lecturer, you will apply your disciplinary expertise to coordinate and deliver high-quality subjects, undertake assessment, provide timely feedback to students, and actively contribute to curriculum development. You will collaborate with academic colleagues across the School and Faculty to build inclusive, research-informed learning environments.
Research is an important component of this position. You will engage in scholarly activity aligned to Food Science and related fields, contribute to high-quality publications, supervise research students, and pursue internal and external research funding opportunities. The role is well-suited to an academic who thrives on collaboration, industry engagement, and advancing the University’s strategic priorities.

About You
A doctoral qualification in Food Science, Food Technology or a closely related discipline. A demonstrated record of high-quality teaching and learning in tertiary education. Experience developing productive relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders. A developing research profile, with publications and engagement in grant writing. Experience supervising higher degree research or coursework students.Benefits
