- $120,908 – $142,769 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
The Opportunity
As a Lecturer in Biochemistry, you will contribute to high quality teaching, curriculum design and continuous improvement across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Your teaching will draw on research-informed practice and contemporary developments in analytical biochemistry.
You will build a productive research program with clear goals and direction, publishing in high impact journals and pursuing competitive grants. You will also contribute to the supervision of higher degree research students and strengthen Western’s research culture through collaboration, engagement, and disciplinary leadership.
Working within the School of Science, you will foster meaningful connections with academic colleagues, industry partners, and professional bodies. Your engagement will support student success, enhance Western’s academic reputation, and contribute to the strategic direction of the School and Faculty.

About You
A doctoral qualification in Biochemistry with strong expertise in analytical methods. Demonstrated excellence in research‑informed teaching and learning. Evidence of disciplinary research or scholarship with a clear research trajectory. Experience supervising research students and contributing to successful grant applications. Ability to build productive relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders.Benefits
