About Us
The Veterans Queensland team is a dedicated branch within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC).
We lead government programs that support veterans and are the central point of contact and co-ordination for advice, policy issues and government commitments
relating to the veterans' community. The team also provides support to the Queensland Veterans' Council, including performing the secretariat function for the Council.
How You'll Contribute
- Providing high level secretarial and executive support in a fast-paced and sensitive working environment.
- Prioritising activities and tasks ensuring optimal time management through effective communication and organisation.
- Monitoring and maintaining all administrative, financial and travel arrangements for the team.
- Demonstrated experience in prioritising and organising work or tasks to meet strict deadlines and produce quality outcomes.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a small team environment, and exercises tact, discretion and professional integrity when collaborating with individuals at all levels.
- Strong administrative, financial, business support and TRIM document management skills, together with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
