We're on a mission to redefine the customer experience, and we need a passionate IT Manager to join our Education team in Melbourne.We're looking for an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of our client's technology strategy, manage IT operations, and lead a small, high-performing team. Requirements
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to and maintain a 3-5 year ICT Strategic Roadmap aligned to the School's Strategic Plan, providing forward-thinking advice on emerging technologies in education
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance student outcomes and build staff capability
- Present ICT strategy, risk posture, and investment plans to the Executive and provide Board-ready reporting
- Ensure ICT strategy aligns with Anglican education values, community expectations, and child safety obligations
- Support the Head of Teaching & Learning and Digital Integrator to operationalise meaningful technology integration
- Oversee digital platforms including LMS, student management systems, and collaboration tools
- Support 1:1 device programs and maintain classroom technology standards
- Drive digital literacy and cyber safety awareness across the school community
- Collaborate with Centorino Technologies teams to deliver optimal ICT outcomes
- Oversee daily ICT operations including infrastructure, cloud platforms, end-user devices, identity and access management, and cybersecurity controls
- Ensure high availability, performance, resilience, and effective service desk delivery aligned to SLAs and user satisfaction
- Develop and maintain ICT policies, procedures, incident response, and disaster recovery plans
- Lead cybersecurity strategy, conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with privacy, child safety, and education regulatory requirements
- Develop and manage the ICT budget, procurement processes, asset lifecycle, and third-party vendor relationships
- Lead, mentor, and develop ICT staff, fostering a service-oriented, student-first culture and supporting capability uplift through training and change management
- Proven ability to build and execute long-term technology roadmaps aligned to organisational strategy
- Strong understanding of digital transformation within education or comparable sectors
- Demonstrated financial literacy, including ICT budget development and management
- Deep technical knowledge of cloud environments, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and device lifecycle management
- Experience developing and successfully executing ICT strategy
- Proven capability in cybersecurity leadership and risk management
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for IT and non-IT stakeholders
- Comfortable engaging with School Executive and Board, with a high level of professional presence and emotional intelligence
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Information Systems, or related field
- Demonstrated ICT leadership experience in education (preferred) or a comparable sector
- Current Working With Children Check (or eligibility)
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy and commitment to meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to manage ambiguity, adapt to change, and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
