SA Unions is South Australia’s united trades and labor council, the peak voice for the South Australian union movement. The council collectively represents approximately 160,000 union members in industries right across SA, from hospitality to the public sector, from construction to policing, from nurses and ambulance officers to abattoir workers and teachers.
Role descriptionThe Administration Officer will often be the key point of contact for SA Union's internal and external contacts. Applicants will therefore need to represent our union values and philosophies. The Administration Officer will be critical in providing operational administration support and will work closely with the SA Unions Secretary and Finance and Office Manager.
The Administration Officer provides confidential, professional, high level administrative and operational support to the Secretary. The role requires the confidence and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders of all levels, strong administrative competence, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality
The Administration Officer will deliver excellent administrative support through staffing SA Unions reception, dealing with inbound and outbound emails and phone calls, data entry and other administrative work as required.
Selection criteria- Data entry and reception duties.
- Communication with internal and external stakeholders (written and verbal) and a high level of attention to detail.
- Executive diary, email and meeting management.
- Meeting minutes, action tracking and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer/technology skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to union values and integrity.
This is a permanent full time role. Salary: $72,000 + 13.5% Superannuation.
Employment conditions subject to the SA Unions Enterprise Agreement.
