The Opportunity
As the Executive Manager - Quality, Risk & Assurance you will lead the organisation’s quality & regulatory assurance, clinical governance, and risk management strategy, ensuring alignment with the agreed standards and compliance frameworks. This full time onsite role oversees & leads the Quality, Risk & Assurance Team, ensuring that all areas of the business are effectively supported to achieve safe, compliant, and quality outcomes, enabling older people to maintain choice & independence.
Responsibilities:
- Developing, driving and evaluating the organisation's quality, risk & assurance strategies, in collaboration with the CEO, executive and leadership teams
- Managing the design and implementation of quality, clinical & practice governance, risk and assurance programs, projects and activities
- Managing & coordinating the investigation, outcomes, actions & evaluation of all SIRS, clinical & feedback incidents, including reporting to relevant regulatory bodies
- Providing strong governance across Risk Management functions to ensure legislative responsibilities are met, and internal controls are maintained
- Managing statutory and Board reporting, and committee meeting requirements to rigorously monitor and measure Carrington’s position, and support Executive decision-making process
- Keeping pace with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality management trends to continuously improve our quality assurance processes
About You
Essential:
- A minimum of 5 years in aged care, including strong understanding of aged care regulations and compliance requirements.
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience overseeing risk, quality, compliance &/or assurance.
- Experience in business process engineering and organisational development.
- Proven leadership capabilities, highly developed communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Proven experience in evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Highly developed analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and a focus on quality outcomes.
