Key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in the following areas:
General accounts payable support:
- Check, verify, and process invoices
- Prepare payments for authorisation/approval
- Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
- Monitor discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Maintain supplier files
Other responsibilities include:
- Assist with ordering stock for departments
- Daily minibar checks and restocking minibar items in guest rooms
- Assisting F&B Departments as required
- Assisting Reception and answering guest queries
- Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable during periods of absence.
- Any additional duties within your capability as directed by the Hotel Manager
Successful candidates will have at least 1 years of experience in a similar role and environment, coupled with the following skills and attributes:
- MS Office and knowledge of accounting software
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy – data entry and reconciliations
- Good organisation skills with the ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
- Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
