Duration: 6–8 months initial contract with strong potential to extend, as project will go for 1.5 years
Location: Fully remote, office based in North Sydney
Working Hours: Flexible, with some overlap required for US-based stakeholder engagement

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a large-scale HR transformation and systems consolidation program for one of our global insurance clients. This is a high-impact role focused on process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and supporting the migration of HR systems and services across multiple regions.

The project involves the decommissioning of legacy HR platforms and the implementation of new systems for payroll, time and attendance, and workforce management. You’ll work closely with global HR and business stakeholders to document current state processes, define requirements, and support the successful delivery of key transformation milestones.

This is a highly flexible role, with the opportunity to work remote, but it does require availability across global time zones, particularly to collaborate with US-based teams. However, you must be based in Sydney as on occasion there are meetings in the office.

Key Responsibilities

Lead business analysis activities across a major HR transformation program
Conduct detailed process mapping of existing HR systems and workflows
Collaborate with HR and business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
Support the decommissioning of legacy HR platforms and transition to new systems
Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders across multiple regions
Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Assist with data analysis and reconciliation during system migration
Ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables
Provide ongoing support as the program evolves into future phases

Required Skills & Experience

10 + years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally with exposure to HR or enterprise transformation projects
Strong process mapping skills (e.g. BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart)
Experience with HRIS or payroll system migrations is highly desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfortable working flexible hours to accommodate global time zones (e.g. early mornings or late evenings as needed)
Strong documentation, analysis, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment

Nice to Have

Experience with HR platforms such as Preceda, Deel, or Tambla
Exposure to global HR operations or shared services environments
Background in insurance, financial services, or large enterprise environments
