* Salary range: PFT: $4138.10 to $4431.10 p.f. or PPT: $54.44 to 58.30 p.h (Nurse Grade 6(1))
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
You will be providing direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to children / families and nursing staff within the Children's Ward to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care in a family centred environment.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
* Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
* Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
* Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
* Successful applicant will be required to complete Townsville University Hospital mandatory competencies and attainment of Paediatric Specific Competencies. This is mandatory for all nursing staff working within the Children's ward as well as the completion of relevant education relating to Paediatrics e.g. Transition to Paediatric Nursing in Articulation mode (if the applicant does not have a post graduate or relevant qualification).
* Shift Workers: Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
