Description:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for presentation to General Manager and MD
- Preparation of monthly reconciliations of all inter-company balances in line with company procedures
- Work closely with the financial controller to prepare annual budgets and forecasts where necessary
- Prepare year end financial statements together with supporting schedules and liaise with external auditors as required
- Calculate and prepare all statutory accounts and tax payments to ensure compliance with ATO requirements
- Ensure appropriate cash receipting procedures are at all times compliant with company policy
- Supervise the credit control and accounts payable function and ensure compliance with company policies
- Regularly monitor warranty claims and other receivables from the franchiser
- Supervise all company stock-takes and ensure adequate stock control
- Ensure the retention and adequate storage of files as required by law
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail in financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively.
- Experience in the Transport, Logistics or Manufacturing industry highly regarded.
- Ability to assess current practices, streamline processes, and develop innovative improvement strategies while ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
- Provides guidance to others, sets clear objectives, monitors team performance, and develops systems to support customer relationships aligned with company strategy.
