Description:
A well-established custom home builder in Perth is seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join their design and documentation team.This role is ideal for someone with around 3+ years’ residential drafting experience , particularly within custom or architecturally designed homes , who enjoys working through projects from concept to construction-ready documentation.
The Role
- Prepare detailed working drawings for custom single and double-storey homes
- Translate concept designs into accurate construction documentation
- Coordinate consultant information including engineering, energy, and planning inputs
- Revise drawings in line with client changes, authority requirements, and construction feedback
- Work closely with internal designers, estimators, and construction teams
- Ensure documentation complies with NCC, local council, and WA residential building standards
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Draftsperson in residential construction
- Exposure to custom homes or high-end project homes preferred
- Strong understanding of WA building codes, NCC, and local council requirements
- Proficient in relevant drafting software (Revit / ArchiCAD / AutoCAD - depending on studio)
- High attention to detail with strong documentation standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
