Role Overview
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Finance, the Finance Manager will have full responsibility for maintaining accurate accounting records, ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies, managing the balance sheet, and meeting all tax obligations for the ANZ segment. The role is accountable for delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and operational insights to support ANZ leadership and management teams. This position will work closely with local and regional commercial teams, as well as external consultants, on a large-scale process improvement project, implementing standardised reporting and best-in-class accounting processes across the region. On a day-to-day basis, the Finance Manager will lead a small team to deliver the monthly P&L and reports summarising operating results while identifying opportunities for process optimisation. In addition, the role supports the senior management team in coordinating and preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning. From a reporting perspective, the Finance Manager is responsible for preparing the monthly ANZ P&L and balance sheet results and managing submissions to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring that financial insights drive both operational efficiency and business performance.



Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting

  • Own financial operations for the assigned segment, ensuring accurate accounting, controls, and compliance.
  • Lead month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and risk escalation.
  • Manage, mentor and develop the finance team of two.
  • Deliver timely P&L, Payroll/FTE, and regional reporting, with performance insights for managers.
  • Partner with the Commercial Manager on reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Oversee intra-group transactions and liaise with other segments and Group functions.
  • Monitor costs, track project spend, and identify opportunities to optimise expenditure.
  • Support internal and external audits and prepare statutory reporting, including GST/FBT.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive process efficiency and challenge current practices to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Implement technology solutions and maximise accounting software capabilities.
  • Streamline and optimise financial systems and reporting across the team.


Candidate Profile
You are a CPA/CA qualified finance professional currently working as a leader in your space, managing a small team in a complex multi-site/supply chain business or similar. You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and are a strong driver for positive change. Your personality is energetic and you have robust influencing skills. Technically you feel comfortable challenging the current processes and procedures to strive for better business outcomes. Ideally, you have experience across multiple ERP systems and enjoy working in an environment going through change. You will also bring technical expertise in navigating accounting systems, Power BI is also an advantage.
